Announcing the 4th Annual MMDBE

The Mattaponi Volunteer Rescue Squad and Rainbow Acres Campgrounds are proudly announcing the return of drag boat racing to the Mattaponi River located in King and Queen County, Virginia. Rainbow Acres Campground offers an elevated hillside for one of Virginia's most beautiful landscapes for boat racing. Early Registration for participants is now available. There will be food and beverages available for purchase on site. The spectator fee for this race will be $12.00 per person and $15.00 the day of the race. Kids 12 and under are free!!!!!!

Participants, only launch vehicles and boats will be allowed in the ramp area this year.  All haulers and support vehicles will be parked in the staging area at the top of the hill from the ramp area.
